My September Foodie PenPal Experience

Unwrapped Foodie BoxI was so excited when I found out about the Foodie PenPal program at The Lean Green Bean.  I’m not sure how anyone could not be excited.  You get to shop and send out goodies to someone else and then receive a mystery box in the mail for yourself.

My first Foodie Penpal box comes from Audrey of the College & Cook Magazine in Washington, D.C. It included Washington’s broth packets, a homemade rib rub mix, a mix to make mug cakes and dip mix from Heavenly Dips.  It also included the recipes for the rib rub mix and the mug cakes.  It was so much fun ripping open the box to find out what goodies Audrey had sent me, not to mention I had forgotten about college life and measuring with shot glasses.  The mug cake recipes uses a shot glass for all the measurements!  So much fun 🙂  Thanks for sharing your favorites with me, Audrey, it was a wonderful first penpal box.

Goodies from my Foodie PenpalI look forward to doing this again soon, I’m thinking every other month will work for me at the moment and starting to decide what yummies I can share with others.  If you want to check out the program, slip on over to The Lean Green Bean and sign up to get your own box of goodies in the mail, you have until the 5th to get signed up for October.
